Description: Toronto area arm of international life science R&D instrumentation company in the clinical genomics and cell analysis space is looking for a Product Manager. Your mandate will be Reagents and Antibodies used in cellular imaging to identify cells and their components. Reports to a local Director. DESCRIPTION: Global product management and marketing of reagents and antibodies used in cellular and cell component imaging analysis. Working with other specialists / departments to cover strategies for investment, intellectual property, pricing, competition. Life cycle product management, revenue growth, expansion into new markets, development of new customer base. Devising sales support tools, product campaigning, attending trade shows, meeting with user groups, making presentations. REQUIREMENTS: M.Sc. minimum, and/or MBA of great interest. Min 5 years as product manager in biotechnology, life sciences, regulated testing laboratories. Experience in product life cycle management, including product launch, using defined processes such as Phase Gate. Background interacting with specialists up to C level. Description: Our client, a leading and successful US player in the pre-clinical research arena, is seeking a pre-clinical Account Manager, responsible for customers in Southern CA - Los Angeles to San Diego. Ideal candidate will have experience in pre-clinical research and a proven track record of building successful relationships with with biomedical, academic and pharmaceutical partners. It is also essential the Account Manager live in the San Diego/Los Angeles area. (relo offered) and must have established client relationships in Southern California. OUTLINE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - As account manager, you will be expected to help preclinical research clients grow, and increase their need for company services and research animals (mice, mouse models, others). - Territory and strategic management, with a focus on revenue. - Work with pharmaceutical, academic, and biomedical partners. - Developing and nurturing the relationship between the company and its new and existing customers to ensure the company is a highly valued partner and provider of solutions. - Actively managing an evolving pipeline and impacting deal closure. - Meeting or exceeding established territory revenue targets. REQUIREMENTS: - Must be living in Southern CA or willing to relocate to this area (Biotech Beach!!!!!) - BS/MS Life or Animal Sciences. - Successful BioMedical and CRO Sales experience, including preclinical (animal model) CRO background.. - Able to illustrate how they cultivate relationships and provide consultative support and solutions. - >5 years' progressive direct biomedical or animal science sales plus field management experience. - Excellent consultative selling skills and a proven capability to close technical sales in pre-clinical settings. - Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. - Driver's license and free to travel up to 60%. ESSENTIALS: Candidates must reside in the state of California (or be willing to relocate) to the greater San Diego or Los Angeles areas. Minimum of 3 years' Preclinical sales experience required, preferably in the Services/CRO sector. Need basic understanding of the drug development process at Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies.
